Big Bar Provincial Park

Location: From Kamloops take the Trans Canada Hwy. (Hwy. #1) west for 75 km. (46.5 mi.) to the community of Cache Creek. Turn north (right) onto Hwy. #97 and travel through the community of Clinton and turn west (left) on Big Bar Lake Road (at the top of the hill north of Clinton). Travel west until you arrive at the Big Bar Lake Provincial Park campsite.

Resorts & Campsites: Big Bar Provincial Park is 332 hectares on the south shore of Big Bar Lake. It has 46 vehicle accessible campsites with boat launching and a large day-use area offering beachside picnic areas and a Big Toy for children.

Fishing Report: Good Rainbow fishery with trout reaching up to 5 lbs. Trolling lures, flatfish and spinning gear are the most popular methods used, however fly fishermen also meet with success. Big Bar is reported to produce well throughout the fishing season.
