          Kicking Horse River (BC Rockies): The headwaters 
          of the Kicking Horse River are in Yoho

            Blaeberry River (BC Rockies): Situated 
          just west of Golden, the Blaeberry 
          River is almost the opposite of the Kicking Horse River. It is a more 
          placid river, winding past panoramic scenery of the Rocky Mountains. 
          Part of this river run follows the route taken by David Thompson on 
          his quest for a trading route in the early 1800's. There is an abundance 
          of wildlife in this region offering many photo ops. Whether you select 
          an oar trip where you do your share of paddling, or go for a motor powered 
          raft trip, running a river is an excellent and exciting way to see remote 
          wilderness.. The 
          Kootenay River (BC Rockies): Starting 
          near the junction of the Kootenay and Yoho National Parks, is an excellent 
          whitewater rafting river, the Kootenay. From the head waters, it heads 
          south parallel to the Rocky Mountain Trench, becoming part of the Trench 
          at Canal Flats. The river continues south past Fort 
          Steele, into Montana, then it loops into Idaho and back to BC south 
          of Creston. It eventually 
          becomes part of Kootenay 
          Lake. Most of the Kootenay River becomes the western arm of the 
          lake that makes its way into the Columbia River at Castlegar 
          and gives it's name to Kootenay Country. Scenery 
          in this region is spectacular and breathtaking with mountains in all 
          directions. A host of recreational activities makes this area popular
